Welcome to the home of the Rockaway Recreation Softball.  We are based out of Rockaway Township, NJ.  We are dedicated to providing a fun and healthy environment for our players to develop their skills, learn the value of teamwork and the importance of good sportsmanship.   There are various levels from Tball up to high school with competition level increasing with the levels.  

Teams are formed in March with practices and games starting in April.  Instructional level and higher has March workout for skills evaluation so players can be evenly divided on the teams.  You will receive information on team designation and other info in March.

Programs offered:

T-Ball

Age 5 by May 1 and Kindergarten:  fun games, learn fundamentals, all hitting is off the Tee.  Meets about once per week in town only

Squirts 

1st and 2nd grade:  Coach pitched fun games, practice once per week, games once per week Rockaway

Instructional 

3rd to 5th grade:  Competitive kid pitched, play other local towns such as Denville, Jefferson, Sparta and Rockaway teams, practices and games multiple times per week

Juniors 

6th to 8th grade:   More competitive, kid pitched, play other local towns such as Denville, Jefferson, Sparta and Rockaway teams, practices and games multiple times per week

High School (if we have enough kids sign up)

9th to 12th grade:  Most competitive, kid pitched, play other local towns such as Denville, Jefferson, Sparta and Rockaway teams, practices and games multiple times per week
